nice macd(3,21,8). But how about congestion periods
when it would give frequent whipsaws which would make
my fib. lines also make a narrow band. My purpose of
identifying peaks/troughs is to have consistent fib.
lines based on 3 latest pairs of peaks/troughs even
though the market may be in congestion.
Still, there may be merit in your suggestion. Thinking
aloud, suppose the market enters a congestion after a
steep decline and I get a trough from macd(3,21,8).
Next, I would get a peak very shortly due to a
whipsaw. If this happens 3 times, I would get narrow
fib band.
How to improve this situation
