This is one of several easers that Connie Brown has in her book. Perhaps if
you took her expensive course you might learn how to construct it.
The name "composite index" either describes something about the function or
it is meant to mislead us.
Connie seems to like the RSI so maybe it is a composite of several different
length RSI functions.

I can't believe a person has the gull of writing a book where nearly
everything is compared using this "index", and a whole chapter is dedicated
to it, and then she has the guts to tell you to go to her website, where she
wants to charge $825 for the indicator. Connie Brown, George Lane who wrote
the forward, and Irwin, the publisher should be ashamed for writing a huge
commercial. Absolutely disgusting. And there are organizations that even
push the book as required reading. Shame.
The funny thing is that there is someone on the internet that claims to have
copied the "results" of the index, and he will sell you the formula for
about $200.

What is commonly traded or available for free on the internet as Brown's
Composite Index is NOT her Composite Index.
The one for $200 might be the exception .....
To my understanding the proper Index is an indicator on another indicator -
like the StochRSI et al (UNnormalized, though).

Here is a sub-routine in VBA that deletes the columns with a "Date" header.
Just paste it in the VBA workbook code and click RUN.
If you like you can create a macro that will call it from inside the Excel
workbook, so you will not
have to switch every time to VBA to run it.
It's also a good idea to use a macro utility to make copy-pasting multiple
indicators between MS and Excel
a single click's task.
Make sure that the first line "Option Compare Text" appears before any other
procedures.
This sub assumes that you use less than 100 columns and less than 10000
rows. If you are using more, then
change the numbers.
Cheers
Spyros
