I use my Downloader program. Open it up
and:
1. Choose Convert from the Tools menu.
The Convert Securities dialog appears. This dialog is divided into two
sections—one for the Source file information and the other for the Destination
file information.2. In the Source section of the dialog, click the File
Type drop list button and select MetaStock.3. In the Source section,
click the Browse button to select the File Name to convert. Select
"INTEL."
Note that you could select multiple files to
convert at this point. But for our tour, just select INTEL. Click
OK.
4. In the Destination section of the dialog,
click the File Type drop list button and select ASCII Text.5. In the
Destination section, click the Browse button to select the Folder and File name
to receive the converted data. Type "INTEL.TXT" for the File Name.
For this tour, let’s place the converted file on the Windows desktop (e.g.,
c:\Windows\Desktop). Click OK.6. Click the OK button to start the
conversion process.
7. After the conversion is complete, the
converted file INTEL.TXT will be on your Windows desktop. You can then run
your spreadsheet (or other application) and read the converted Intel
data.
Click Conclusion to continue. Note this info came
from MSP help files.
