Hi there , thanks for trying to explain things , I have consulted the Help
menu and need to get to grips with it . I understand that the macd is fixed
and worked out on the 12 - 26 value but why when you select properties after
selecting the macd line on your chart are you given the choice of changing
the time periods and if you change those then select the trigger which is
the 9 day moving average line overlayed by default then you find that this
has also changed?.
I will try the price oscillator as suggested by the help feature to create
my own macd like indicator.
