I think we have a nonclamenture difficulty. A 
traders's pivot is often represented by yesterday's (H+L+C)/ 3. There are a 
number of these. Some work some days and some work on others. However, pivot are 
often used synonymously with swing high  & swing low. where you look 
back for a previous high with x lower bars before e.g. 10 and y e.g. lower 
bars after it and vice versa for a swing low. Hope this helps.
