Can't say I've used  Delphi in years. However, my experience is that using
Power Basic is a lot faster in development time than Visual C++. I guess the
tie breaker is whether you instinctively pass variables by reference or
value.  PB has pretty fast execution. If you are starting out, then I'd
recommend Power Basic. However, if you are already familiar with Delphi or
Visual C++ etc then go for what you are used to.
