Members of the occult have a common belief that people with special knowledge (fortune-tellers, psychics, etc.) can manipulate (“change to fit one’s purpose”) natural and supernatural forces.
There are four main categories of the occult:
divination (fortune-telling);
witchcraft (practices of a witch);
spiritism (communication with the dead);
satanism (the worship of Saton or the powers of evil).
Astrology is a part of the occult.
