In order to short a stock the broker must have it
in their inventory or borrow it from someone who does. This looks like a thinly
traded stock with average daily volume below 50000 shares. Datek may not have
any in inventory to short and may not want to look around for someone who does.
On a thinly traded stock changing brokers is probably no the answer. You're with
one that has a good inventory to begin with.
For what its worth a short covering rally in this
stock could be pretty gruesome for the shorts.
