I am not sure this would take less time, but you might try cross matching
the two lists in Excel (use Vlookup), keep omly the new tickers on the list.
Use that list to create a new directory of tickers. Get the whole history
for just that directory (New Directory). Remove the tickers that are no longer
on the list from the Old Directory. Then copy the tickers from the New Directory
to the Old Directory.The Copy and Delete features are under the Tools menu
.
