XP pro dual boot

Is anyone else running an XP pro and 98 dual boot?

I have 98 in C:\ drive and XP pro in D:\ drive and all of my other data and
other installs in drives E:\+ etc.  It looks as if 98 may crash shortly and
I may need to re-install it. I assume that I make a copy of the XP file
"Boot.ini" from C:\ ... format C:\ drive (to get a clean install) ...
re-install 98 and then copy the Boot.ini back into C:\ drive.

Any suggestions ... so that I can get the "drill" organized before 98
crashes.
