Actually, what I did was sent a note to customer
relations (or whatever the title is) and requested the e-mail address for the
president of Equis. Within an hour Kristine send me a note apologizing for
the two or three previous messages that contained erroneous information.
She then went on to say what Tom said - the Stop Optimize button is disabled in
EOD.

Subject: Re: Stop Optimize Button
Tech support at Equis has deteriorated. It
used to unexcelled, it still is but from the other end.
I sent a query in to tech support about an
indicator that I couldn't find (it turned out to be accessible by a tool bar
button). The answer I got back was that they could develop the
indicator for a fee. They appear to be a bunch of
morons.
Write Kristine back and ask her to forward your
query to her supervisor.

Subject: Stop Optimize Button
I recently upgraded to MS EOD 7.2 and just noticed
that the OPTIMIZE button on the STOPS dialog is grayed out. Don't see
any instructions that address this problem, so I sent
this question to Equis and got the following
response:
Sir:
I am sorry, the Optimize button is
disabled on custom system tests. Please don't hesitate to contact me if
you have any questions.Thank you,Kristine
Does this make sense to anyone? If so, under
what conditions is the Stop Optimize button activated? Based on the
HELP instructions (attached), it appears that it should always be
active. A shot of what I see is also attached. Any input
regarding how this aspect of the program operates for you would be
appreciated.
