I didn't know that CART was mentioned in Futures Mag. I don't know what the
letters stand for if anything. The accompanying program is called MARS which
stands for Multivariate Adaptive Regression Splines. There's not to much
else around like them. They're basically data mining programs. They read
.xls files plus just about anything else that you can think of. So its
pretty easy to run stuff in for "analysis", i.e. rule generation. I think
that you can export the rules to C+ if you're still using that now.
It has a very simple GUI and is very straight forward to use. The program is
very powerful at what it does. It finds patterns and generates a predictive
model that you can easily test. I like the XL version of GA and Gene Hunter
but this one is really on steroids.
