Zvi,
Thanks. Yours was the best suggestion. But I modified it slightly in that
instead of copying to 2 folders, I just copied to one folder; deleted data
after 9/10/01 in the original folder and before 9/17/01 in the new folder,
then used Tools\Convert to merge the 2 data sets. (When I tried using the
Merge command, it only lets you select 1 security at a time, not thousands
as in my case. You cannot select multiple securities using either Shift or
Ctrl keys; I guess Equis never thought one would be merging thousands of
securities).
Even though last week's situation was unusual, I do think Equis should have
an option in the Downloader allowing one to delete data from a range of
dates, not just Before or After a particular date, so one doesn't have to do
it in this convoluted way. I have passed this suggestion on to them -
hopefully, they will do something about it!

Shashi,
To delete those days:
1. Copy your data from the original folder into two additional folders
(using Windows Explorer or, better, DownLoader's Tools/Copy).
2. In the 1st new folder delete all data before 9/15, in the 2nd -
delete all data after 9/10.
3. In the DownLoader use Tools/Convert: Source - MetaStock, 1st
folder; Destination - MetaStock, 2nd folder (check all
securities).
4. Delete the original folder, rename 2nd folder to original.

Zvi
