Neither have made specific demands, but the islamic terrorists consider
the US a godless country and consider themselves to be god's agents whose
duty it is to punish the godless for presumably being godless.
Falwell et. al. appear to agree according to their statement that made
the rounds of the media a couple of days ago. What's so difficult
to understand about all this?
An attack on religious fanatics who are either actively engaged in
terrorism or who support it by vitriolic rhetoric is NOT an attack on
religion in general. The overwhelming majority (the real
Moral Majority) of mankind be they Muslim, Christian, Jew, or any other
religion or Agnostic --- abhor these self-proclaimed agents of god.
In the unlikely event that there actually is a god who cares about the
details of life on an insignificant speck of dust in an unremarkable
corner of the Universe, she would probably be appalled as
well. The transition from fundamentalist rhetoric to
terrorist action is quite natural. You start with the amazing
hubris of thinking that you have a direct pipeline to the creator of the
Universe, you end with killing your fellow humans for their crime of
failing to adopt your demented point of view.
Anyone considering Falwell et al as role models should look at the
devastation on every level that religious fanatics have wrought on
Afghanistan.

I have and will again. I don't see your point. Has Falwell made the same
demands on the US government that Islamic terrorists have?
