Must admit, I read sciences at university, so can't
say I'm a historian, but unlike the US, France is one colony we gladly gave back
several times. However, it's a beautiful country.
Irrespective, we have to put aside our cultural
differences and Nato members or not stand together in the face of a common
enemy.

TYPE="CITE">When France was in danger of collapsing in 1956, it was the
Americans who propped it up, and their reward was to be insulted and
swindled on the streets of Paris. I was there. I saw it.
What was the problem in France in 1956?
Algeria? I don't think that the US were involved. I was young but I
don't remember. Jean Jacques
