Quite fascinating. This "information" war is broader than meets the eye and
does not stop with nation observing nation. By way of example, one non Nato,
western European country, tape records all conversations in the First class
cabin of its national air-line. As a company all of our employees were
discouraged from using it. The interventions one knows about are fine.
However, when using a cell phone in that country, I always felt it was like
speaking down a long tunnel. Was I being paranoid if I felt that the cell
phones of foreign nationals were being taped? Whilst I have a firewall, I
often wonder to what extent it would discourage a determined intruder.
