I have a Compaq
5184? Desktop w/ an Intel Celeron 500 Mhz w/ on board integrated 8 Mb VGA
Graphics.
I was able to
insert a generic 32 MB PCI Graphics Card install the driver and have it run
in Win 98. No problems.
Thanks,Marshall M. Liu

graphic card memory
What is the model number? I would be
curious to see if it is as they say. Even if it is soldered down on the
Motherboard, there is usually a BIOS setting or a jumper that will disable
it.

(1) if the onboard can be disabled? Dell said no; it
is sodded onto the motherboard and cannot be disabled; (2) Is
there an available AGP slot? Dell also said no. They advised
me to move onto 4100 series, which is another ca$400. more. I need
to decide whether it is worthwhile to spend that extra just so I have a
movable 16mb graphic card, and also it is intel pentium 1 ghz chip.
