I have had experience of this (I live in the UK) and currently use
Interactive Brokers which is cheap and usually reliable. As with everything,
however, you must be very careful in using online brokers - I have had
connections go down, broker connections go down and the internet connections
(I have three - one main and 2 backups) go so slow at times that I have no
idea what my positions are - this is very scary.
