I think that the contributors are forgetting the 0 and 00 slots in the
wheel. The house pays off at 36 to 1, the true odds are 38 to 1. If you are
betting on red and black, you lose if a zero or double zero comes up. The
odds of getting a red or black are less than 50%.
Unless you hit a biased wheel, its a suckers games. Doubling down is also a
suckers game.
