Your observations about your own trading analysis are like any word problem.
Assign some variables and state the facts in table form so that you can
translate it into "math". Getting the solution started is always the hard
part. Matrices can be bigger than 2x2 or 2x3. Those are the easiest to start
with.
To others: The reason why OR sites are so popular is that of all the quant
sites they are usually the most concrete and easiest to translate into
trading analysis situations. The quants working on the Street don't usually
have sites. <G>
