If you were into fib numbers, you would know:
144 is ... 150 is not. 1,2,3,5,8,13,21,34,55,89,144,etc. Add any two
numbers to get the next fibonacci digit.

If you are into Fib numbers, 144 is close to the
Fib number 150. Perhaps the statistics of extremes can explain this.
