The matrox G450 is a good choice, the card has 2 chips to control the video
and
you can run 2 monitor with the refreashing rate of your choice.
I have the old G400 with only one chip and can run only one monitor at 85 hz ,
the other one is at 75 hz so don't buy the old G400 ( some place sale the old
g400 at a discount price)
You have to run one card in AGP (matrox g450 is) and the other card , a dual
head if you want should be a PCI one, so you can run four monitor at the same
time.
I don't think you can run 2 PCI card at the same time or you will have a
conflict and windows will freeze when you boot.
Personnaly I am very satisfied with my matrox and recommend it, I don't know
the speed for the game, I never use my PC for games but I work at 1280 X 1024
in graphs all the day
