I'm a bit mystified about the various versions. MFC42.dll is version is
6.00.8447.0. I Updated IE in the last 2 or 3 weeks, and just checked agin
and it doesn't list any further updates for IE or OE, so it appears to think
it is current, should there be some way to tell it to get a later version? I
also did a keyword search for mfc42.dll which found nothing.

The MS crashes in MFC42.dll are the only problem I am aware of in this
machine which seems stable running the ICS host, eSignal Data Manager,
Excel, IE, OE etc.

The crashes may well be due to faulty indicator code but are not frequent
enough to be easy to isolate. Another anomoly which may or may not be
related is sometimes opening charts gives indicator error messages about not
being able to load security data but with completely garbage dates - is
this an MS feature?
