I havent crunched hard figures on what MSFT will be
worth. To me MSFT is worth much less if broken up. There is a big difference in
Oil, Telecom, and Software . (BTW if you want to know anything on Oil
my mentor would be pleased to give you his lowdown. He was an Oil Man, worked
for one of the seven (was it) sisters.
That MSFT will bite the dust......I have no
doubt.....it reeks of everything unethical in the book, looking forward
that is. I think Ive got a handle on whats in store for us by MSFT, and I
dont like it one bit.
Anyway I will put my money where my mouth is, when
its time......all said and done Im just a humble monkey...........
Rajesh.

I think that you are missing something. About 100
years ago the Feds broke up Standard Oil, none of the stockholders of Standard
Oil lost any money over it. More recently IBM and AT&T have
been broken up by the Feds. While these companies, excepting Exxon, do
not have the power and influence that they had before, the shareholders didn't
lose out because of a breakup.
If MSFT is broken up, every shareholder will
receive shares of stock in the new entities.

is ready.
I have been an huge admirer of
Microsoft.
From what I see now this time round Microsoft
has surely dug its grave and is just building the coffin for itself. Its
only a matter of time.Microsoft will be broken up. No amount of political
lobbying is going to help Microsoft this time round, i.e. if the politicians
want to have the people on their side. Eventually the free market and
peoples power will prevail.
Microsoft will not be able to hide behind
the bushes.
I for one will not be upgrading or buying any
more office products for my personal use. No XPs for me. Switching to Linux
(buggy but it sure would make me happy to support it).
Unless microsoft take a 180 degree turn right
now ala Intel, the company as you know it today will be
history.
When the Euphoria sets into the pricing of MSFT
I will be there on the top and will short it all the way.
Anyone here betting that I will have to chew
and munch my word?
Regards
