I use Quotes Plus and for my index stocks used to generate the S&P500 they
are put into two folders i.e. SP500a and SP500b. I did not find a way to
insert all into a single folder.

Claud,

I have most of my stocks in one directory, way in excess of 1000. Can QP2
update
collections such as that? I have been under the impression that Qp2 is
limited to
250 or 255 issues per directory. I have been hesitant to go to them because
I do
not want to set up a lot of directories.

Any knowledge will be appreciated.
