Intraday data for backtesting

Ron,

Here's my current setup: MetaStock Pro V7.03 fed by QFeed (Quote.com including QCharts) with a
Dynastore interface that makes QFeed look like DBC Signal to MetaStock. This setup works
brilliantly. I also have QCollector2 that I can use to refresh or fill in any gaps in my
collected data. It too works superbly, especially considering that I can refresh the data "hot"
or while my quotes are running. Not only can I fill in my tick data gaps (or any other time frame
for that matter), it allows me to easily and quickly download my daily data from Quote.com.

Now Quote.com has gotten some deservedly bad press on many of the boards. Most of that resides
with QCharts. It does take some additional work to get this to work smoothly, but there's a lot
of help and user-written applications. Using just the QFeed with Metastock has been very reliable
as has the historical data retrieval.

So, to finally answer your question in probably the longest way possible, I get my data from
Quote.com. They have intraday data back to 01/01/1997. Tick data included, but with something
like the NQ or ES, the MetaStock limit of 65,500 records means slightly less than two days. Every
other time frame, I can store data from way, way back.
