kernel32.dll is a tough one to figure out sometimes.
Use Walter's method below to determine if it is
corrupt.

I had a problem with kernel32.dll that I fixed by
turning "hardware acceleration" of my display to "none"
using
Control Panel/display/settings/advanced/performance
