I would appreciate some help from anyone who knows how to get around this
problem:
I think this occurred when going from Metastock 7.0 to 7.1 but it could have
occurred when going from 6.5 to 7.0. I had programmed the Alligator (red,
green and blue) plots into metastock in ver 6.5. Metastock has since been
upgraded to 7.0 and 7.1. In going into the Indicator builder in ver 7.1, I
notice that the name of the alligator indicator has been changed to
"Profitunity-PTG Alligator Blue" and it asks me for a password to access the
program. When it was originally written, I named it just "Alligator Blue". I
haven't been able to "guess" the password it is looking for, so I haven't
been able to edit the code. "Password" is not listed in the manual index and
I haven't run across it in the section on "Indicator Building." Any help
would be appreciated. Please respond direct and I will summarize the input
for the list....Also is there a text somewhere that helps you learn to
program in Metastock. I program in four languages but have real difficulty
programming such simple things as the VIDYA (variable-length moving average)
indicator in Metastock although it is a snap in Excel and most programming
languages. (TAS&C Bonus Issue 2001 page 19).
Thanks for any help you can offer,
