metastock-excel

I would like to ask how it is possible to export data from metastock
downloader to excel for calculations and import back to metastock the
updated data.
I did the following: converted the file to excel format, did tha
calculations and then tried to convert the file back to metastock
format, but I got error messages. Any suggestions?
