Lionel,

Copernic is a little different type of search engine. For one thing, the
"driver" portion of the program that sets up the screen interface, the
results list, and other pieces reside on your computer not the web. That
means you have to download and install it on your PC.

I use the Freeware version which in my mind is more powerful than any of the
web based engines you mentioned, which I have used in the past (and faster
too!). Some of my reasons include the fact that the search results reside
on my system if I don't delete them, so when a search returns several
hundred links, I can check out some of them today, close the program, and
then without doing the search again cheeck some tomorrow and the next day.
I like that feature. I also like the feature that validates all the links
and automatically deletes the bad links. That saves me a ton of time. The
engine puts up a little meter that tells me how close to my search terms the
result is and the list is sortable!

A few of the features are not enabled in the Freeware version I use and if I
wanted them, I'd have to purchase one of the other 2 more enabled versions.
But some of those features are cosmetic only (such as additional graphic
skins) while some are yet more advanced search features (which I have not
needed yet).

I've enclosed a gif of the screen shot for you to look at. And no, I have
no fiduciary connection with Copernic of any kind, I just think it is a
great program with many more features than are availble from a web based
search engine.

Enjoy! ....... John
