If you are using DataOnDemand, MetaStock is downloading weekly or monthly data that does not update until Friday. If you download daily data, and apply your template/layout to the downloaded daily data, then MetaStock will compress the daily data and give you a current weekly/monthly bar, rather than from last Friday.
