I used to have this problem with one of the data suppliers that are listed
in the Downloader.
Use the Downloader, click on "tools" then click on "test". Test the
particular ticker. You will get some messages that certain data is
defective. This will give you some data points to look at.
A second way is to completely delete this security using the Downloader
delete function, then reload it. This will work only if your data supplier
has corrected the defective data.
A third way is to move the chart display, one screen at a time, from the
most recent to the oldest data. When you get past the defective data, the
Y-axis will be correct. This will tell you approximately where the bad data
is. next slowly scan forward, say a month at a time until you get a
defective Y-axis. When you reach this, you next go to the downloader spread
sheet, look at the data and change the defective data point.
