Jim,
It might be you have a virus which in the best case scenario just sends any
particular mail to all correspondents from your address book, or in the
worst case, adds some sinister load on its own :-( . If you don't have a
antivirus software installed and updated, try Trend Micro free on-line
virus check at http://housecall.antivirus.com/default.asp . It's good in
detecting viruses.
By the way, a couple weeks ago Norton Antivirus with the most recent
virus definition update failed to detect the virus JS_SEEKER.B on my
PC (Win98). I discovered the virus using TrendMicro on-line virus
check . Sent e-mail to Symantec, still waiting to hear from them. Cannot
say what made me check with TrendMicro software as well.

you are correct...and it just dawned on me that this mistake was not just a
simple problem...it only started about 24 hours ago and i do not know what
to do....can anyone tell me what i should look at to repair....sorry for the
private mail..it could have been worse....or better depending on your
mood... I tried to write back just to henry privately and i get the
metastock address automatically affixed on my in line......thanks
