Mostly, don't screw up. The few problems I've had with it
have been mostly of my own making.

This last one occurred when I reset my t-bond charts to show
price in 32nds, rather than as decimal numbers. That evening,
having shut down when t-bonds closed, I went back online to
get the late-day e-mini data, which I save even though I haven't
been trading the e-mini. My afternoon t-bond data had vanished!
The odd thing was that it was still there in MS offline mode. In the
end, I realized that once the display option was reset, I'd had to
close my charts and re-open them, and in doing so had absent-
mindedly set them to feed directly from the data cache, rather
than from the usual files. And, of course, when I shut down, all
the data in the cache went away. Nothing mysterious or hard
to fix, once you realize you've been a dummy again.

My one disappointment with e-Signal is that historical data
sometimes doesn't load if you have to shut down during the
day and start again later. There are a couple of small gaps
in my data for this reason. DBC did admit to having a problem
with it for a while, but it appears to have been fixed. The gaps
outside that period may well have been my own fault.

So far, my only continuing problem with MS has been that it's
always necessary to hit the reset button and wait through a long
start-up cycle before shutting down. Trying to shut down after
using MS locks up the machine. So far, it's been only a minor
annoyance, but one of these days failing to close down normally
could damage my files. Equis support and I went after it for
a while one afternoon and decided to punt until I upgraded to
the latest revision. Didn't help, so one of these days I'll get
around to calling them again.

Not much in the way of advice, I'm afraid. It did take a couple of
pleas to this list to get it working the way I wanted, but that wasn't
the fault of the software or data feed. I'm just not much good at
learning from manuals.

Go ahead and try it. I think you'll probably find the combination
workable.
