Actually, it doesn't appear to be e-Signal itself. Their
data is making it into their own software. Some of it is
arriving in Metastock. Just not all of it. Here are the
symptoms.
I spent yesterday watching USZ0 and had no trouble.
I shut down at the close and went off to do other things.
Later, I fired it up again to collect the late-day data for
the e-mini, which I don't trade but to keep on file. When
I did so, all my bond data from 11:36 on vanished. The
graph looks fine on the e-Signal software; it's just MS
that's affected. This morning, I'm receiving data fine,
and it appears on the Metastock chart. Trouble is, the
e-Signal tech support guy had me refresh the chart as
part of his diagnosis, and the morning's data vanished
up to the time I refreshed it. Now the gap extends from
11:36 yesterday to 9:30 this morning. Not nice!
The e-Signal support technician concludes that this is a
Metastock problem, because the e-Signal software still
shows the chart correctly. Much as I hate to admit it,
because interaction problems are by definition always the
other company's fault, it sounds like he could be right. So:
Does anyone have any idea what could be causing
this problem? Equis, of course, won't be available until
10:00, and it would be nice to be alive again by then.
Many thanks,
Owen Davies
