RE: Taking a little profit

Kent,

The rumor on the street was that they held back shipping for the last three
days of the quarter so as to not beat the street's earnings forecast by more
than a penny (which I guess is what they usually do). I guess they don't
take sales into income until they ship. Again, those are just rumors and
unfortunately I didn't buy it down $5 last night. :(

What's that? They made (saved?) money by not shipping? Are you saying they
did this to save on shipping costs or what?

List,

Well, we have another conflicting situation and we decided to play safe. We
closed out all of our S&P futures at a profit and went to the sideline
because we got a SP39 short term sell signal for tomorrow morning, while we
still have a Buy signal on our intermediate term signal..

We still have our equities and our QQQ options, which we are trading
according to our longer-term signal.

Anyway, this information is worth exactly what you paid for it. It's just
to show you what we've done.

CSCO met expectations and is down $5 the last time I looked. According to
the rumors in Silicon Valley, CSCO didn't ship anything the last 3 days of
the month in order to meet (and not beat) expectations. Looks like they
should have shipped. Now, we don't own any CSCO at this time, so I have no
ax to grind, and no possible probability of gain. We still own our MU, TSM
and those QQQ options. I know my brother has PMCS as well and a couple of
other stocks, but he closed out his INTC way too early. That was a great
buy in the $30s.

Good trading to all, and to all a good night.
