I was not thinking about the technical aspects of a 
migration... I was suggesting the current situation is so

  As with other kinds of software (MS Office, 
  Quicken to name 2), the data format can be changed at any time.  All that 
  is needed is a utility to convert old format to new format.

    Because the data format is obsolete... and why is it so 
    difficult to abandon it do you think ? [ answer :

      why one of the best programs is years behind in this one simple
