Kush,
When getting indices from Yahoo, type a "^" before the symbol.
For example ^BSESN(Bombay Stock Exchange Sensitive)or ^DJI or ^ IXIC
Than click on the symbol and you'll get an overview of the last trading day
with O,H,L an C + Volume.
You will also notice a chart (1 yr). Click on the chart and it will expand.
There you will find the historical quotes option, click on it and voilą......
