Lionel,
There is no mention of WOW products on the Omega site, if I
rememeber well. You have to connect to the WOW web site. The last time I had a
look at WOW vs OR, my impression was that WOW would the low end follower of
SuperCharts and TradeStation would remain the high end. But I really don't know
if WOW will continue to develop client (ie offline) softwares. The information
on OR and SEC Edgar would suggest that future products will online services from
the respective sites.
Alain.

Last time I looked at the Omega site, there was
no mention of WOW? Since this is/was considered a low end product by OR,
  hasn't it been discontinued?

WoW & OR are completing their move to the online
software business. OR is also merging with an online trading co. (YA
    dot.com).

WoW.com is the current marketing priority of the new
company. The Supercharts development has been dropped since quite a long
time : there will no SC 2000i. All advertisements for the TradeStation 2000i
client product line have been stopped too (see TASC and Edgard
    ao).

OR is working at the online version of
TradeStation, TradeStation.com (YA dot.com), for the professional. No
    release date was provided yet.

The plan is : ONLINE SERVICES (MONTHLY) SUBSCRIPTIONS
will replace the licence fees business.

I thought that Windows on Wall Street was
bought by Omega and promptly discontinued. I spoke with Omega recently and
was told that they are only promoting their high end software. They are
not promoting SuperCharts anymore.  WOW was very similar to
Metastock, but no tech support and when I phoned I had to leave a
message on an answer machine ( this even beats Omega's reputation for tech
      support).

Theo I have been going over similar thoughts you are.
I currently use IQCharts, which is non MS, and of the stapshot
variety real time.  It has been very good for about $35 per month.

I am considering going back with Signal, having subscribed to them,
off and on, over the last 5 years.
Several brokers have a Signal fee rebate program so that as long as
you make so many monthly transactions with them (as few as 5 I
think), the Signal fee is minimal.  Although Signal man still
supply only a 50 ticker capacity with their minimum acct, you might like
the fact that, if your brokerage account is active enough, your RT
charts will be almost free.  You may have to speak to a Signal
sales person, to learn which brokers offer what.
Look into it, and let me know what you think.  I have been
procrastinating, but hope to go back with Signal soon....maybe my
Dreyfus account will still qualify for a rebate.  Signal often
offers a one month free introduction period at shows and seminars.

I have friends who swear by WindowsOnWallstreet.  They offer a
one or two week try, but I have never cared to take the trouble to
look.  There is always much to relearn with new software.
