Lionel,
the reason why you get the DAEMON.EXE error, is because that's
the Quotes-Plus Virtual program. QP 2.2 does not include QPV in
2.2 yet. QP tells me they have it on their web site as a
separate download. If you have already uninstalled it or can't
get access to it via the QP setup or Control Panel programs, you
could delete its key in the Windows 9x Registry:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\VxD\QPDRIVER]
I don't recommend this if you are a newbie.
QP v2.2 is still a BETA program, which is why I haven't installed
it. I don't recommend anyone, who uses their computer to make a
living, install BETA software. I had enough trouble getting QP
v2.1 to work. I finally got QPV in v2.1 working correctly. I no
longer get 90 second freezing problems, even if I use a MS layout
of 12 charts and zoom in and out! Although, I haven't tried
using the MS v6.52 EOD Relative Strength indicator (comparing 2
stocks)!
You might have to totally uninstall your RealPlayer G2 v6.x (I
assume), and install the new v7. I had a problem with RealPlayer
v6 while playing video, not audio. I would lose the Windows
AutoHide Taskbar. So, I totally uninstalled RealPlayer G2 v6 and
installed v7. This involved deleting certain Registry keys, even
after using the RP uninstall routine. If you're going to do
this, email me and I'll forward RP tech's recommendation for
uninstallation. Also, download their RP Basic install routine.
That's their smallest and simplest install.
