Re: 6.52 (and 7.01 EOD!!!) crashes very often on Windows 2000

I'm running MetaStock 7.01 on a 4 month old machine with 256 meg of Ram. 2
- 8 Gig SCZI hard drives (IBM). Brand new video drivers (adjusted the
registry when I deleted the old ones). NT 4.0 SP4. Etc. etc..

And with no other Apps open. 7.01 crashes about every 30 minutes. 6.52 was
worse, and even less functional if that is possible.

Furthermore I have an identical machine running 6.5 sitting right next to
the one running 7.0 and it never crashes. And yes when I complained to the
Tech support gentleman he tried to hand me the 'video drivers story also.
When I told him mine were brand new, he sputtered and mumbled something
about video drivers needing updated once per week!!

And I definitely DON"T think it is worth the upgrade especially since there
are so many other bugs. I NEVER take a brand new upgrade from these people
cause they are always so full of bugs. But this time I had no choice cause
of the stunts they pulled with their data format and Y2K.

I was forced into 6.52 and when it turned out to be a catastrophe. I
(foolishly) took them at their word that 7.01 had fixed the bugs. What a
joke. They are not even aware of all the bugs yet.

And now I finally have a response from tech support from my first bug
report, and guess what. The P variable is broken and won't be fixed until
some 'later release'.

What does that mean??

How am I supposed to trade in the mean time?? Until this 'later release'
appears?
And what does 'later' mean?

Question -- can I go back to 6.5 if I dump Reuters as a data vendor and use
someone else? And does anyone know who that someone else would be?
