This is the response I recieved from equis concering the slower explorations.

It turns out the cause of the slower Explorations is Windows NT. Our
programmers have designed a work around in our program that will help to
speed up Explorations under Windows NT. However the CD that will
contain this change will not be available for a while. Please send this
message again in a few weeks and we can let you know how to get the new
CD when it is available. We expect the new CD to be available mid
April.
