RE: Off Topic: DSL Service

I use Bell Atlantic DSL in Pittsburgh PA. In the almost six months that I
have had it, only two days (that I know of) have I had any problems - I was
unable to connect on these two separate days.

I love the speed! I have it set up connected to a Netgear Router that
serves the whole network. I think I was one of the first in my area to have
DSL because I have a static IP address so there is no dial-in. I know a
neighbor does not have a static IP address and there is a dial-in procedure,
but it is very fast (about 2 seconds).

The guys on Squawk Box are always complaining about their problems getting
it installed also. Regardless, you should have a backup dialin account in
case your DSL does go down. MindSpring gives you 20 hours a month worth of
dialin time with each DSL account.

re:I am considering DSL Service from Bell Atlantic here in North Jersey.Any
opinions on DSL service and Bell Atlantic's DSL Service in particular. I am
concerned about erratic performance and downtime for trading interruptions.

I have heard from Rush Limbaugh who has a syndicated conservative-type radio
program that he is very displeased with their performance.
apparently he has done tons of paperwork and has yet to see (as of 2 weeks
ago)
aany results.
