Nope. Your conclusions are too simply drawn.
1. The version posted, yes. The version in beta test for over a 6 months now, will have it reduced.
By how much and other details, I am not going to come forward with until its test run is clearly
completed. But for the moment will have the lag roughly reduced by at least 25+%.
2. Hypothetical, yes. Since:
a) values are results of the current used but known lagged trigger-day version (instead of the
by system produced actual triggered day).
b) since it is not traded by me, but merely used as a protective trend, Stop/Loss or Entry indication.
c) since values cannot be achieved exactly as was printedin the table, which was explained later
by the investtrading line sentence (using EOD):
" since actual ordering can only take place 'the day after' ".
3. The S&P is one of the lower ranked market indices, since its ratios are well below(ROI) and
above(R/R) average. The ST/IMT system undoubtedly hooks on to that story and opens these
financialy important values to the world.
4. Yep. If you take that part of your investments that are invested according to some sort of systematic
approach rule you've setup for a (computed) system AND that you have set the for yourselve
applying "stick to the system" rule for.
Systematic here reads as "computed" signals derived from your mechanically computed system.
That part of your investments here reads as the 10-30 % of your investments, that you are up front
willingly and knowingly putting at risk :
1) to gain experience from your (computed) sytem and
2) to exploit that computed system for later benifit.
Paper trading can be fun, but actual will make you well aware.
5. Undoubtetly yes. Oppose to the many other calculated Momentum systems/indicators that can
produce the wrong mechanical signals when they start diverging "away from the actual Trend".
The build-in Momentums, RSI and MACD, ROC etc. are fine examples of this phenomenum,
where Price does the opposite of that for the xxxx Indicator.
Lately the system has triggered a POS signal on the Dow Transp @ 2679(000316) and a
NEG signal @ 2720(000522). Early enough to open or close a position or to reverse positions.
The actual but "only" later known, unlagged trigger days were subsequently POS @ 2353(000308)
and NEG @ 2874(000512). These are the ST/IMT signals the system produces and which are
thereafter, later printed on day 6(or 7).
The S&P latest NEG signal triggered @ 1433(000505) was by the system actualy triggered
@ 1461(000426) and gets only printed later(eg, "the lag").
Actualy the prior POS signal(000503) basicaly was a one-day "too premature" triggered FALSE
signal, and was later easely fixed with "watching next 2 days actions".
Therefore the triggered NEG 1441(000413), with actual trigger @ 1487(000405) can be used for
system's ST/IMT change in Momentum BIAS for S&P.
Combined with other TA tools(Coppock) and techniques(charting patterns) then many from it derived
signals can be used for possible trades: protective, speculative, directional, open, close or reverse.
(For that I will not print here the latest Nasdaq "Coppock" 1100+ points gain example, since that has
been posted to List previously on 000413 "Re: Eat thy words : Mark Mobius & Abbey Cohen" and
later that month on 000426 "Re: Mother of all Highs").
And now for your extremely powerfull one way BM's (is that short for BMWs or Buick Motors???).
Let's here it all............about your super "market=always up" positively signaling Burnout Momentums.

Ton,
Based on what you have posted below, I have concluded the following:
1.The System you have has an unavoidable lag of up to 7 days.
2.The Excel you have posted is hypothetical.
3.Your system has been unsuccessful on the S&P.
4.You have lost all your built up gains 3 times in the past.
5.Your system produces the Positiveness/Negativeness "flow"-feeling.
Is all of the above correct? BTW, my BM's usually produce an extremely
positive flow feeling!
Thanks,
J
