You need to install "direct cable connection" on both computers.

Then the rest will all be done by that installation proces.

I have a Windows 2000 system and a Windows 98 system that I would like to
connect using a crossover cable (not with a hub).
What steps do I take to configure both systems after connecting the
crossover cable (protocol, TCP/IP settings, sharing, user groups, NIC
configuration, etc)?

Does anyone have any trouble shooting suggestions?

Thanks,
Shaq
