Jean:

I am mostly self taught in statistics. I was able to follow Gumbel's book
and the companion report: J. Lieblein, "Efficient Methods of Extreme Value
Methodology", NBSIR 74-602, National Bureau Of Standards, Washington DC
1974.

I haven't seen "Some recent advances in statistics" edited by J. Tiago de
Oliveira and Benjamin Epstein, London ; New York : Academic Press, 1982,
it is either a NATO seminar volume or based on a NATO seminar. The NATO
Seminar books that I have seen, on other topics, tend to be a bit more
challenging. As a NATO sponsored publication it may be available in other
languages, like French and German.

If this doesn't show up on the metastock listserver, would you post this to
the listserver as I am still unable to reliably post to it, thanks to Road
Runner.
