Yes, I did respond to this email.

I mentioned that the only reason the MSX capability was used in the article
was because only MSX could perform the necessary calculations.  I also
stated that I would expect future articles to use MSX only when it was
necessary.  If calculations could be performed using the standard formula
language, the formulas would be presented in that format.
