RE: Still long...until the morning

Steve,

Our dad agrees with you here. He went long this morning as well, reversing
his short of 7/14 at 1523. Of course the market is down right now, so we'll
just hold on tight.

We're running 17/21 for our trades back to Oct. 1999, but our last one was a
19-point loser. Currently, we're ahead 633.40 points (net) since October.

I agree with you about the market and what it looks like. There are times
when some of our positions look like the biggest mistake in the world and
turn into great trades. I would like to think this might be one of those.
:) We are now about 40% invested in our equity account (including margin).

We are in the process of adding our dad's latest two signals into our
methodology (the signals that appear to be working better with the current
market, like yours) and hope to have that completed in a couple of days. My
brother is working on that between working on his rep company (he's actually
got to work today) instead of take care of his granddaughter.

I'll look for your list and will return our actual as well as new signals
back to you.

Looks like I'll be going home to Detroit in August for a short visit. What
a wonderful month for a trip. Ragweed, humidity, heat, just to name a few
of the excitement I'm looking forward to. :)

Guy,

I'm wit ya again (as they say in Detroit). The shorts that we initiated on
7/13 @ 1510.50 will be covered on the opening and we'll be going long.
Seems a bit early to me...but, that's why I trade it mechanically...nothing
ever "seems" as it really is. This will be our ninth consectutive winning
trade in the S&P's (all neatly accounted for in "real" accounts) and this
completes the 50th trade (in this market) since 1/1/99 with 42 winners. I
send you the "poop" sheet so you can compare your trigger days with ours.

Take care,

Steve Karnish
