A couple of months ago I bought some of Martin Pring's CD's. He is good as
far as he goes. A fundamental platform.
I started out with Murphy's book, and then Swagger's and 30 or so in
between. Read all of them to get a foundation. But know that in and of
themselves, and the Metastock program, and Advanced Get, and Omega's
programs, will, in themselves, at best help you to be a technician. Pulling
the "trigger" at the right time is something you learn on the inside. And it
is there. And it will be there.
If you are new to trading, consume everything you can. Keep looking,
searching till you find the right "set" for you. All the hype about making
fantastic profits is probably true. It is the sticking to it that will
count. In and of itself, most of the stuff is bullshit. Putting it all
together, AND getting in tune with your inner self, that is what will pay
off. All the technical analysis and fundamentals are, for me, a necessary
primary school that one has to live through and graduate from, in order to
go on to the middle and upper schools. Keep looking and receiving from
others, from everyone.
Best book I have ever read was "The Disciplined Trader".
Then read Prechter's books on the Elliot Wave.
Then go on to Robert Miner. The Elliot Wave in his stuff becomes "almost"
understandable.
After that, Trading Chaos, and Bill's newer book. I have stopped reading
here. Do not think I have to go any further. Found the "system" that is
right for me. Simple. When all that left brain stuff is quieted!
May we all find the creator of wealth, and finding Him, forget our little
playthings, and Know His Love.
Peace and Happy Trails,
and please forgive my sounding like I know it all. I really only have
started finding "it" for me. Thanks for listening,
Brian
