Hi Songyun
Go to Quotemonster at:
http://www.xmlworks.com/quotemonster/
Install Perl on your computer from the link given on the above site. List
your stock symbols in a file called "tickers". You can then either cut and
paste the information into your Downloader stock file or I think some on this
site have come up with a more automated way to put the information into the
Downloader file. Ask the members on this list and I'm sure they will tell you
how to automate the process, as a number of them use this service. Under
either condition you will want to check the information daily as sometimes
there are gaps in the data. For example the open will not be included in the
stock data and a "zero" is be present in that position. You can get
individual quotes from either one of the on-line broker services or, in my
case, AOL, to fill in the gaps.
Hope this helps and good trading,
Joe Nemecek
